I have a Murkrow against an active Aquapolis Jumpluff with one damage counter, can I Feint Attack Jumpluff and not have to flip for its PokeBody? A. Yes. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q868) Q. Aquapolis Jumpluff's PokeBody - Does it block the entire attack (such as with Tyranitar's Trample) if it is on the bench and flipped Heads for the PokeBody? A. Jumpluff just prevents the damage and other effects of attacks done to itself only!!!!! It does NOT prevent the effects from the attack to others! It just protects itself. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q874) Q. My opponent has a Dark Tyranitar against my Aquapolis Jumpluff. He/she uses Mountain Smasher, and I flip heads for Fluff. It does no damage to Jumpluff, but do I still discard cards from the top of my deck? A. Yes you do. Jumpluff's Fluff ONLY prevents effects of attacks done to it!! Like Agility for example. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q875) Q. I have an Aquapolis Jumpluff on my Bench and my opponent uses a Pokémon that has a Spark attack, targeting 10 damage to Jumpluff. I flip for Fluff and get heads. Does the entire attack get prevented, including the base damage to my Defending Pokémon, or just the 10 damage to Jumpluff? A. Jumpluff's Fluff ONLY prevents effects of attacks done to it!! Like Agility for example. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q875 & Q877) Q. My opponent is attempting to use Magneton's Self Destruct attack and I have Aquapolis Jumpluff on my Bench. If Fluff gets heads, would all damage to Magneton, my Active Pokémon, and all Benched Pokémon on both sides be prevented? A. Jumpluff's Fluff ONLY prevents effects of attacks done to it!! Like Agility for example. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q875 & Q878) == MAGNETIC FLOW (Magneton - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. For Aquapolis Magneton's "Magnetic Flow" power, if the opponent only has one pokemon with energy attached to it, can I move just that one energy? Or does there *have* to be two pokemon with energy attached in order to use this power? A. As the card states, you must choose 2 of your opponent's Pokemon that have energy attached. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q861) Q. If I were to use AQ Tentacruel's or AQ Magneton's powers to attach a Darkness Energy to opponent's Cleffa, it would pretty much doom the Cleffa right? A. Not really. Sure that Cleffa would take 10 damage at the end of your turn, and it might be hard for them to remove as Cleffa does not have a Retreat cost. But there are other things they could do, such as evolve it (yeah right!), or Scoop It Up or something like that. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q835) == MIRACULOUS WIND (Light Dragonite - Neo: Destiny Expansion) Q. Can an active Light Dragonite pay its retreat cost with an attached Boost Energy (it says you can't on the card, but does that effect/rule/whatever turn off from Light Dragonite)? A. Yes you can; all text on a Special Energy card is ignored under that Pokemon Power so yes, you could discard it to Retreat it. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q879 & Q898) Q. Your active Light Dragonite is knocked out. Any Recycle Energy attached to it gets put into the discard pile rather than returning to your hand A. Correct. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q888) == SHADOW MOON (Umbreon - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. For the Aquapolis Umbreon's "Shadow Moon" power, do I have the option to NOT shuffle any of my opponent's cards into their deck after looking at their hand, or is it mandatory? In other words, can I choose "zero" cards? A. You could choose zero. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q862) == STRANGE TENTACLES (Tentacruel - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q835) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON ATTACKS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == ENERGY KICK (Elekid - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. For Aquapolis Elekid's Energy Kick, who chooses which Pokemon to move the Energy card to, the attacking player or the defending player? A. The opponent they use it against chooses where to put the Energy. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q863 & Q884) == FEINT ATTACK (Murkrow - Neo: Genesis Expansion, Umbreon - Neo: Discovery Expansion) Q. I have a Murkrow against an active Aquapolis Jumpluff with one damage counter, can I Feint Attack Jumpluff and not have to flip for its PokeBody? A. Yes. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q868) == JAW CLAMP (Croconaw - Neo: Genesis Expansion) Q. If an attack stops a Pokemon from being moved out of the active spot by Retreating, Trainers or Powers, will Warp Energy allow you to move it? A. Stuff like Jaw Clamp, you mean? That attack itself doesn't mention the effect of an Energy card. So I believe that Warp Energy would still work in that case. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q867) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UNOWN CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRAINER CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == APRICORN FOREST (Aquapolis Expansion) Q. If Apricorn Forest is in play, is flipping to add to the Bench mandatory or can a player choose not to flip? And if mandatory, if they have no basic Energy cards in their hand do they have to show their hand to prove it to their opponent? A. The coin flip is optional. If you flip the coin then the rest must be done. If you don't have an Energy at that point, you should show your opponent your hand to prove you were fibbing (just a little, right?). If you don't have an energy, you would not choose to flip and continue with it. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q866) == POKEMON PARK (Aquapolis Expansion) Q. If Pokemon Park is in play and 2 Energy cards are being attached via "Harvest Bounty", can 2 Damage Counters be removed? A. Yes. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q864) Q. If Pokemon Park is in play and I use "RainDance" to attach several Energy cards at a time, can I remove a Damage Counter for each energy I attach? A. Wow! Let me blow the dust off of my old Rain Dance deck!!! Yes, you could. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q865) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ENERGY CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == BOOST ENERGY (Aquapolis Expansion) Q. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q879 & Q898) == WARP ENERGY (Aquapolis Expansion) Q. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q867) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GENERAL GAMEPLAY ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TEAM GAMEPLAY ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == MIRROR SHELL (Dark Wartortle - Legendary Collection) Q. For Team Play, if I use Mirror Shell (similar text to Agility) must I designate which player's active pokemon it affects or will it affect *any* active pokemon that attacks Dark Wartotle? A. You would designate which opponent you wanted the Mirror Shell's effect against. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q838 & Q843) xxxxxxxxx1xxxxxxxxx2xxxxxxxxx3xxxxxxxxx4xxxxxxxxx5xxxxxxxxx6xxxxxxxxx7xxxxxxxxx8
