If Kecleon has two different colored basic energies attached, and it attacks a Pokemon with resistance to both of those colors (i.e. Salamence is resistant to both Fire & Fighting), is the Resistance calculation doubled because Kecleon is both types? A. Yes. Just like double-Weakness would result in x4 damage, double-Resistance would result in -60 damage (-30 times two). (May 13, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == PROTECTIVE DUST (Dustox - EX:Ruby/Sapphire) Q. If Dustox is confused and flips tails when attempting to attack, does its "Protective Dust" Poke-BODY prevent the placing of three damage counters? A. Well, it does say to prevent all effects of attacks done to Dustox by the Attacking Pokemon. So yes, the confusion self-damage would be prevented since Dustox is considered "the Attacking Pokemon" in this scenario. If you play a Mysterious Fossil from your hand with a Team Magma Hideout would the Fossil be knocked out due to the effect of Team Magma Hideout? A. Yes. Mysterious Fossil is put into play as a Basic Pokemon and therefore would receive a damage counter, which in turn would KO the Mysterious Fossil right away. If Kecleon has two different colored basic energies attached, and it attacks a Pokemon with weakness to both of those colors (i.e. Kabutops-EX), is the weakness calculation doubled because Kecleon is both types? A. Sure. Damage would be up to x4 for the appropriate double Weakness. (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team Meeting) Q.
