Does the Healing Shower Poke-Power remove damage counters from my Pokémon-ex? A. No. Healing Shower removes damage counters from all Pokémon in play, excluding Pokémon-ex. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) Q. Is Milotic's "Healing Shower" mandatory when I play it from my hand, or is it optional? Can I choose to NOT heal any Pokemon? A. Yes. It says "may", and is therefore optional. (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. Can you use Milotic's "Healing Shower" Poke-Power more than once if you play more than one Milotic per turn from your hand? A. Yes, each separate Milotic has its own "Healing Shower" power which can be used individually. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == METAL JUNCTURE (Metagross - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Does the Metal Juncture Poke-Power only let me move a Metal Special Energy card, or any Energy card that also provides a Metal Energy? A. Yes. Any card that produces Metal Energy could be moved. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == POWER DIFFUSION (Rhydon - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Does Power Diffusion reduce the number of damage counters placed, or just damage for Benched Pokémon? A. Power Diffusion just reduces damage, not damage counters for the Benched Pokémon. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == PRIMAL PULL (Claydol - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Does Primal Pull also affect Claydol? A. Yes. Claydol would need at least 2 Energy attached to use its Muddy Eye attack. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == TEMPERAMENTAL WEATHER (Castform series - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. If Castform is hit with an attack like Smokescreen, Silver Wind, etc., does that effect remain if Castform uses "Temperamental Weather" to switch out for a different variant of Castform? A. Yes, the Smokescreen effect remains even after Castform invokes "Temperamental Weather". (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. Say you have a Castform that was hit with Amnesia which prevents it from using one of its attacks the following turn. What happens if Castform uses "Temperamental Weather" to switch out for a different variant of Castform? A. Well, if the new variant of Castform has the same attack name it would be prevented from using that particular attack. Any other attacks with different names would not be affected by the Amnesia condition. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == TOXIC GAS (Muk - Fossil; Muk EX - EX:Dragon) Q. Does an opposing Muk-EX stop Milotic's power (or any other "coming into play power" on a different Pokémon) from working? A. No, "coming into play" powers like "Healing Shower" are not prevented by "Toxic Gas". (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON ATTACKS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == CORAL GLOW (Corsola - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Corsola's Coral Glow attack says, "Draw a number of cards up to the number of your opponent's basic Pokémon in play. (You can't have more than 10 cards in your hand in this way)." If you choose to draw less than the total number of your opponent's basic Pokémon in play, do you have to specify how many you will draw before you start drawing? A. You choose a number on the resolution of the attack, before you start to draw cards. It goes with "make any choices that you need to make for this attack" phase. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == HYPER BEAM (Dragonair - Base set, Golduck - Fossil Expansion; Claydol - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Claydol's Hyper Beam attack says, "If heads discard 1 energy attached to the Defending Pokémon." Can you choose to discard a card that provides 2 energy, such as a Double Rainbow, even if there are other basic energy attached to the Defending Pokémon? A. Claydol's Hyper Beam should say, "...discard 1 energy CARD attached to the Defending Pokémon." So yes, you can choose to discard an energy card that provides more than one energy. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == ICE GENERATOR (see Trainer Cards - Ancient Technical Machine [Ice]) == MAKE A WISH (Jirachi - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Can I use Make a Wish to evolve a Pokémon on the first turn of the game? A. Yes. The attack can evolve a Pokémon, even during the first turn of the game. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == METAL REVERSAL (Metagross ex - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. For Metagross-EX's "Metal Reversal" attack, if I switch my opponent's Pokémon, does it do 40 and 40 more to the new Defending Pokémon? A. No. You either do 40 damage to the Pokémon you initially attacked, or 40 damage to the new Defending Pokémon. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == SET SONG (Igglybuff - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Can I get just one, but not the other? What happens if only one of the two is in the deck? A. You must get both, if you can. If you do not have both in your deck, but have at least one, you can get the one that is in your deck. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == SILVER WIND (Masquerain - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Which Pokémon is the Silver Wind effect attached to? A. The effect is attached to the Defending Pokémon that was attacked by Masquerain's Silver Wind. If the Defending Pokémon retreats to the Bench, that effect is removed. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == SLASHING STRIKE (Scyther - Promo; Dodrio - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Dodrio's "Slashing Strike" attack says, "Flip a coin. If tails, Dodrio can't use Slashing Strike during your next turn." If I retreat Dodrio and then use a Switch to make him active again, does that clear the effect so I could use Slashing Strike again? A. Yes, that is correct. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == SPARK (Chinchou - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Chinchou's Spark attack says, "choose 2 of your opponent's benched Pokémon..." What happens if my opponent only has one Benched Pokémon? A. You still would deal damage to the single Benched Pokémon. (EX:Hidden Legends FAQ) == SWEET TEMPTATION (Luvdisc - EX:Hidden Legends) Q. What happens if you attack with Luvdisc's "Sweet Temptation", but the opponent has no Pokemon on their bench? Does it do any damage or not? A. Since you cannot switch the opponent's Pokemon there is no "new Defending Pokemon" to be damaged. So basically nothing happens there. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRAINER CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == ANCIENT TECHNICAL MACHINE [ICE] (EX:Hidden Legends) Q. What happens if I play ATM-Ice but the opponent doesn't have any trainer cards in play? A. If you cannot discard any of the opponent's trainers, you do not get the added protection benefit of the attack. You can still use the attack when they have no trainers in play; it just doesn't have any effect. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. If I use "Ice Generator" from Ancient Technical Machine [Ice] and then that Pokemon gets benched, does the Ice Generator effect remain or not? A. No, it does not. Just like Agility and other similar attacks, the protection benefit goes away when benched. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == STEVEN'S ADVICE (EX:Hidden Legends) Q. Steven’s Advice says, "Draw a number of cards up to the number of your opponent's Pokémon in play." If you choose to draw less than the total number of your opponent's Pokémon in play, do you have to specify how many you will draw before you start drawing? A. You must choose a number before you start to draw cards. (Jun 10, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == TOWN VOLUNTEERS (Aquapolis Expansion) Q. If I have fewer than 5 total Pokémon and basic energy cards in my discard pile, can I use Town Volunteers to shuffle them all into my deck, or must I shuffle in exactly 5? A. Yup, it works like Time Capsule did. If you have 5 you MUST choose 5, if you have less than 5 you can still play it and choose all of what you do have. You can't CHOOSE to pull less than 5 if you have that many.
