Weakness should be applied to the damage that Machamp deals. It should read, "This attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance, Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, or any other effects on the Defending Pokemon." (Aug 21, 2004 Pokemon World Championships Announcements) == DROWSEE (EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) * For purposes of proper Pokemon names, treat all cards referring to "Drowsee" as "Drowzee". For example, you cannot have four "Drowsee" plus four "Drowzee" in your deck. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON POWERS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == ACID SAMPLER (Victreebel - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) Q. Say your active Pokemon gets knocked out. You promote a Pokemon to the active position with an 'if active between turns' pokemon power like Victreebel's 'Acid Sampler' or Butterfree's 'Sooth Dust'. Does that power get activated? A. Yes, the Power would activate. Once a Pokemon gets knocked out it must be replaced right away, so the Victreebel or Butterfree would indeed be "active between turns". (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. Say your active Victreebel uses "Acid Sampler" and the opponent's defending Pokemon gets KO'd. So the opponent promotes a new Pokemon in its place; since it's still "between turns", does the new defending Pokemon get Acid Sampled too? A. Yes. Victreebel's Poke-Body states "As long as...", and the new Defending Pokemon is a Defending Pokemon that has not yet taken its 1 damage counter. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == EERIE AURA (Hypno - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) Q. For Hypno's "Eerie Aura" Poke-Body, do you put the two damage counters on BEFORE or AFTER checking for sleep? A. Both you & your opponent check for sleep first, and then each Pokemon that REMAINS ASLEEP after everything gets two damage counters. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. Does Hypno's "Eerie Aura" Poke-Body apply to itself if it becomes Asleep? A. Poke-Bodies are not shut off by Special Conditions (unless the text says otherwise), so Hypno would indeed be susceptible to its own Eerie Aura power. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == POWER GENE (Nidoking - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) Q. Is Nidoking's "Power Gene" Poke-Body cumulative? A. Yes, it is. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == REST UP (Snorlax - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) Q. For Snorlax's "Rest Up" Poke-Body, can you choose to remove the two damage counters BEFORE checking for sleep, or do you have to do it AFTER performing the sleep check? A. You flip for the sleep check and then if Snorlax REMAINS ASLEEP after everything then you can remove two damage counters. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) Q. For Snorlax's "Rest Up" Poke-Body, can you use Miracle Berry or Lum Berry to heal it AFTER removing the two damage counters? A. Well, the Lum Berry would heal it before the end of the turn so Snorlax would not "remain asleep" and therefore could not remove two damage counters. But with the Miracle Berry you have a choice: you MAY remove the special condition at any time between turns, but you MUST remove it at the start of the turn. So you could choose to "remain asleep" between turns and remove two damage counters, but then at the start of the next turn Miracle Berry would kick in and cause Snorlax to wake up. (Sep 2, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == SOOTH DUST (Butterfree - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green) Q. Say I play a supporter and then play "VS Seeker". Can I grab the supporter I just played or since its not officially in my discard? A. It is not in the discard pile until the end of your turn, according to how Supporter cards are written. So VS Seeker could not fetch it. In a Two-on-Two battle, if I have two Hypnos active is the "Eerie Aura" power cumulative (i.e. place four damage counters on all sleeping Pokemon)? A. Yes, that is correct.
