This seems pretty obvious to me, but since Ditto Copies powers, Suicune can't use its attack to make it fall asleep or paralyze it, right (so it stays Ditto)? A. Not sure what you are saying here. If you had two Suicunes facing each other (which in effect you are), then they could use the Aurora Wave against the other but it would NOT do any additional effects beyond the 30 damage (no asleep or paralyze). The New floor rules regarding start of game procedures isn't quite clear on the point of whether the second player (non-active) places his/her active and benched Pokémon face down or up before player 1 (active) places his/her active and benched. I'm sure it is face down, but could you verify this? A. You're right! It also doesn't say whether we all have to wear hats or not!!!! (kidding). Quite clearly, you all place your cards face down, until just before the game actually starts. True. But we cannot spell out every single step in a game. You have to use a little common sense. The start of game procedure was just clarifying the game start, NOT altering it. You start with cards face down in the old way, you start with the cards face down in the new way. You also flip the cards over when you start. Otherwise, it would be a pretty dull game. (Dec 20, 2001 WotC Chat, Q34 & Q45) Q. RE: The clarified startup procedure [Ed.Note: see above]. Will that be incorporated into new version rulebooks that come with newer decks? A. Hmm, to be honest, I don't know. The new start procedure is for tournaments only. It is NOT a game rule change.
