[Ed.Note: This does not apply to Tentacool Lv.10 (Fossil) which specifically states in the text of the power that it cannot be used on the same turn it comes into play.] (Sep 27, 2001 WotC Chat, after-Q53) == GAZE (Igglybuff - Neo: Discovery Expansion) * We got an answer about the Igglybuff ruling from last week. You know the one where you use Gaze then Scoop Up Iggly and lay him down again. You could then use Gaze again on another Pokemon and basically use Gaze twice. This means that ANY Pokemon attack or Power that can only be used once per turn, is reset if that Pokemon leaves play and that power or attack could be used again if that Pokemon came into play again that same turn. (Sep 27, 2001 WotC Chat, after-Q51 & after-Q53) ***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS SINCE BEEN OVERRULED; See Above ***** Q1. Igglybuff does Gaze, is Scooped up and placed on the bench again (all in one turn); it can now turn off _another_ Pokemon Power, right? A1. Wrong. You would NOT be able to use the power again that turn, regardless..... (Sep 20, 2001 WotC Chat, Q25 & Q30) Q2. But if you played a new Igglybuff while the first was in play both of them could Gaze; so what if you switch Igglys could you Gaze with the second? How would your opponent know if you switched Igglys or not? There is no proof that the Igglybuff that you play after you Scoop Up isn't another Igglybuff because your opponent can not look at your hand. A2. You would have to prove that it was a second Igglybuff you were bringing into play (show the other one in your hand). I'm using Blaine's Quiz #3 (or whichever one has you tell your opponent the attack of the pokemon). I'm using it for Sabrina's Alakazam. Now since Sabrina's Alakazam's Power states that it has a copy of each [P] Pokemon's attacks that you have in play. Am I... A. No, the Sabrina's Alakazam isn't actually in play, so it won't have copies of those attacks yet.
