When someone uses Lightning Rod from promo Electabuzz #46 do the lightning rods stay with the opponent's pokemon when they evolve or do they get taken off? I'm thinking that it is like a char effect that leaves when the pokemon evolves or leaves play. A. You are correct. They work just like Char counters in that they are removed if a Pokemon evolves/devolves or leaves play. Benching a Pokemon does NOT remove a lightning rod counter. In Team Play, does Dark Ursaring's "Battle Frenzy" attack involve all four players' pokemon in play, or only the attacker's and one designated opponent's pokemon? A. Had to check on that one, but Battle Frenzy does count all players Pokemon in play. (Jun 13, 2002 WotC Chat, Q28) == CURSE (Gengar - Fossil Expansion) [CHRISBO NOTE: This is a correction to last week's answer.] Q. In Team Play, if I use Gengar's "Curse" power, can I move a damage counter from one of my opponent's pokemon to one of the other opponent's pokemon? A. Yes, that is correct. (Jun 13, 2002 WotC Chat, Q26) == DAMAGE SWAP (Alakazam - Base Set) [CHRISBO NOTE: This is a correction to last week's answer.] Q. In Team Play, can I use Alakazam's "Damage Swap" power to move my teammate's damage counters around? Or could I transfer damage counters between my pokemon & my teammate's pokemon (and vice versa)? A. That also is correct. Nasty trix, huh? (Jun 13, 2002 WotC Chat, Q27) == DOUBLE GUST (Neo: Genesis Expansion) Q. In Team Play, if I were to play Double Gust, I would be able to pick one of either opponent's Pokemon, but then what would happen after that? A. OK, after some talking, for Team Multiplay, the owner of the card has to declare all "you"s and "your"s when the card is first played (you meaning you or your team mate), (your opponent meaning one or either of the opposing team mates). So if Pat and I were on a Team and I played Double Gust, first I would declare whether it was affecting me or Pat, then I would choose which opposing Team mate was being affected. That opposing team mate would then choose which benched Pokemon had to come up (depending on on whether I chose me or Pat) and then Pat or I (the one that was chosen) would choose which Pokemon would come up on that chosen opponent's Bench. (Jun 13, 2002 WotC Chat, Q34) == TRAMPLE (Tyranitar - Neo: Discovery Expansion) Q. In Team Play, does [Tyranitar's "Trample"] attack involve all four players' pokemon in play? A. Yes, it does.
