I was wondering if you can exactly define the differences between a Poke-BODY and a Poke-POWER, i have heard a few different things going around A. Those are just clarifications for the players benefit. They are both Pokemon Powers (menaing Muk would shut them both off). A Poke-BODY only affects the Pokemon that has it and is continuous. A Poke-POWER is an actiavted Pokemon Power that could have all sorts of effects. Poke-BODYs are not shut off when the Pokemon has a Special Condition on it as well. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q165) == DRIVE OFF (Light Arcanine - Neo: Destiny Expansion) Q. Is the Pokémon Power Drive Off (Light Arcanine) mandatory? A. Light Arcanine's Drive Off is written in a way that makes it mandatory if he is your active Pokemon. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q224) == NEUTRAL SHIELD (Mew - Promo) Q. Last week it was ruled that Dark Gengar's attack would Pull In a Benched Pokémon against Neutral Barrier Mew... but this contradicts similar previous rulings decisions. A. Actually it wouldn't work. Please disregard what was said last week. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q247) ***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS SINCE BEEN OVERRULED; See Above ***** Q. Promo Mew (Lily Pad) vs. Dark Gengar - If Dark Gengar uses Pull In against an active Promo Mew, does the attack resolve bringing up a benched Poke, putting it to sleep, and doing damage to it? A. Yes it would work since the effect is not actually against Mew. (Aug 29, 2002 WotC Chat, Q94) == SHAPESHIFT (Brock's Ninetales - Gym: Challenge Expansion) Q. If Brock's Ninetales has Shapeshifted into a Pokemon that does not have a Pokemon Power, does it still take damage from Pichu's Zzzap!? A. Yes, it still has the Shapeshift Power, otherwise you wouldn't be able to keep attaching cards to Brock's Ninetales. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q228) == TOXIC GAS (Muk - Fossil Expansion) Q. So just to clarify, Muk's "Toxic Gas" will prevent Poke-Body powers, right? A. Yes. As with other games that we make, you will need to start using the new text as soon as the set is released. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q185) == FLIPPING COINS, DICE, ETC. Q. Will the Coin Flipper on the Chansey E-Card (when used with the E-Reader) be legal for gameplay purposes? A. Nope.
