Just to make sure, Rainbow Energy counts as Darkness for the purposes of Umbreon's "Dark Moon" pokemon power, right? A. Yup. It is not asking for a specific card. If a card provides energy of a type, it is considered an energy card of that type. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q950 & Q961 & Q1010) == FLUFF (Jumpluff - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. Does Fluff prevent Feraligatr Riptide from shuffling the water Energy back into the deck? A. No. It just prevents all effects of attacks done to Jumpluff. Like Suicune did. (Feb 6, 2003 WotC Chat, Q977) Q. Dark Gengar's Pull-In - If a benched Jumpluff is the target of Pull In, if I flip for Fluff and get heads, what happens? A. The attack is still direcrted at the active Poké so it would work. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q967) == ION COATING (Lanturn - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. Would Lanturn's Ion Coating "fix" a Rainbow Energy to Water only? A. No. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q989) Q. For Lanturn's Ion Coating: If you change all L cards to W and then attach an L card, does that stay as L, or change too? A. The effect lasts the whole turn and all Lightning attached to it (even if done later in the turn) change to water energy. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q968) Q. What would happen to a Crystal Energy on Lanturn using Ion Coating, since it provides the type of energy of the actual card, not what it has been turned into? A. It looks at what the actual basic energy cards are, NOT what they are providing. So whether you Energy Burn them or use Ion Coating, look at what the actual basic energy card is! This is just like that really annoying Ho-Oh ruling. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q990) == MAGNETIC FLOW (Magneton - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. Can Magneton's Magnetic Flow move Special Energy cards? A. Sure. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q972) == NEUTRAL SHIELD (Mew - Promo) Q. Does Rapid Spin from a non basic pokemon toward lilypad mew let the opponent's Rapid Spin pokemon switch? A. No. Switching up from the bench is still considered affecting the active. So no switching in this case. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q949) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON ATTACKS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == DARK IMPACT (Houndoom - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. Will Houndoom's Dark Impact still prevent the Defending Pokemon from using Pokemon Powers if it retreats to the Bench? A. Benching ends that effect. I believe. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q958) == EARTH RIFT (Steelix - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. On the AQ Steelix does benching remove the effect of the flip from Earth Rift so I could use that attack next turn? A. Benching always ends these effects. We have said this for every Pokemon that has come out with a similar effect. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q975) == FEINT ATTACK (Murkrow - Neo: Genesis Expansion, Umbreon - Neo: Discovery Expansion, Houndour - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. On Feint Attack, Murkrow states "defending" but [Aquapolis] Houndour states "that pokemon"; so how is the Feint Attack used? So Feint Attack on Murkrow only cuts through everything on the defending, but on Houndour it doesnt matter if it's the bench or not? A. Play it as written. Play the old ones Murkrow ect... as written. Correct for the Houndour, but all other Feint Attacks are played as written on those cards. So they are different types of "Feint Attacks". (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q968 & Q981 & Q985) == HEAVY METAL (Scizor - Aquapolis Expansion) Q. With Aquapolis Scizor's attack "Heavy Metal", can you use a Rainbow Energy as the Metal requirement? A. I would say yes. It is not asking for a specific card. If a card provides energy of a type, it is considered an energy card of that type. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q961 & Q1001 & Q1010) == PULL IN (Dark Gengar - Neo: Destiny Expansion) Q. Dark Gengar's Pull-In - If a benched Jumpluff is the target of Pull In, if I flip for Fluff and get heads, what happens? A. The attack is still direcrted at the active Poké so it would work. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q967) == RAPID SPIN (Donphan - Neo: Genesis Expansion) Q. Does Rapid Spin from a non basic pokemon toward lilypad mew let the opponent's Rapid Spin pokemon switch? A. No. Switching up from the bench is still considered affecting the active. So no switching in this case. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q949) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UNOWN CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRAINER CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == TRAINERS IN GENERAL Q. Can you play 2 TM's together on your active Pokemon? A. Yup. One attack per turn, doesn't matter if you have two copies of it. You can only use one cube to attack. You don't have two attacks. (Feb 13, 2003 WotC Chat, Q970 & Q992) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ENERGY CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == CRYSTAL ENERGY (Aquapolis Expansion) Q.
