Is Milotic's "Healing Shower" mandatory when I play it from my hand, or is it optional? Can I choose to NOT heal any Pokemon? A. Yes. It says "may", and is therefore optional. (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON ATTACKS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == TARGET SLASH (Zigzagoon - EX:Sandstorm) Q. Sandstorm Zangoose's Target Slash says: "If the Defending Pokemon is Seviper, this attack does 10 damage plus 30 more damage." Does this include Team Aqua's Seviper? A. No, "Seviper" and "Team Aqua's Seviper" are not the same thing; that's why you can put four of each into your deck. (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRAINER CARDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- == FRIEND BALL (Skyridge) Q. Could I use Friend Ball to copy a psychic type even if I don't play psychic in my deck? A. Yes. Since it is theoretically possible that you may have a Psychic type Basic in your deck, you can play it. (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == RARE CANDY (EX:Sandstorm) Q. Can I use Rare Candy on a Pokémon that was devolved on that same turn (i.e. Devolution Spray, Hyper Devolution Spray, etc.)? A. Yes you can, because Rare Candy ignores normal evolutionary rules. (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == SWITCH (Base Set; Expedition; EX:Ruby/Sapphire) Q. The new modified rules state you may only retreat once per turn. If you use a trainer to Switch your Pokemon, can you still retreat that Pokemon? Or does the Switch count as your one retreat per turn? A. Switch does not count as your one retreat per turn. If it did affect it, I would imagine it being written as "(This counts as retreating your Pokemon)". (Jun 3, 2004 PUI Rules Team) == TEAM MAGMA HIDEOUT (EX:Team Magma/Team Aqua) Q. Suppose I have an Elekid from Sandstorm in play, and my opponent has a Team Magma Hideout in play. If I evolve Elekid using its "Baby Evolution" power to Electabuzz, does that trigger Team Magma Hideout's effect? A. No, it does not. In this situation Electabuzz is considered an evolved Pokemon, so Team Magma's Hideout does not apply.
